A 3.9 GPA is an outstanding GPA and represents nearly straight A grades. Students with a 3.9 GPA are highly competitive for selective colleges, scholarships, and academic honors.
Many colleges accept students with GPAs in the 3.0–3.5 range. A 3.9 GPA can make you a competitive applicant at many state universities and private colleges.
Some scholarships require GPAs of 3.0 or higher, so a 3.9 GPA may qualify you for certain merit scholarships.
