A 2.5 GPA is slightly below a B average and typically represents a mix of B- and C+ grades. While it may limit options at more competitive schools, many colleges and programs still accept students with a 2.5 GPA.
Many colleges accept students with GPAs in the 3.0–3.5 range. A 2.5 GPA might not make you a competitive applicant at many state universities and private colleges.
Some scholarships require GPAs of 3.0 or higher, so a 2.5 GPA may not qualify you for certain merit scholarships.
